Removing the too personal family photos and making sure the replacement artwork enhanced the furniture through its color, subject matter and placement was the second step. Arranging the furniture and accessories to bring your attention to the fabulous fireplace, windows and glorious backyard was the third and final step to creating the lifestyle selling opportunity we always seek in our staging.
The overly large furniture in this Montclair living room kept buyers from seeing the fabulous fireplace and built-in bookshelves. We opened up the space, visually widened the room and created an easy flow through to the attached outdoor deck and glorious view from this Oakland Hills home. Removing the big screen TV and replacing with appropriately sized artwork draws the eye towards the fireplace and up to the high ceilings, creating that feeling of space and luxury buyers look for in this upscale Bay Area neighborhood
