This is the view of the front door from the deck in the last set of photos. We used a coat of paint to bring the home more in harmony with its surroundings, removed the ominous panther sculpture, repositioned the other sculptures and potted plants and, voila – a lovely welcome to potential buyers.
This large deck in the Oakland Hills was almost larger than the house associated with it and, therefore, obviously figured heavily in the equation of buyers interested in the property. Rich mulch was added to the barren dirt hillside, and several vignettes added that emphasized the great entertainment and relaxation possibilities afforded by the space.
